So many things to do...

Hello everyone,
I know made a commitment to take pictures daily and for the most part I feel really good about what I have done over the last three months.  I can see a difference in the quality of pictures and I am getting quicker with my settings with my camera which is nice.  Of course, there is still loads for improvement, but for the next couple of days...no pictures until I get caught up on my long list of to do's.  I have been going here and there and I really need some time to focus on my getting organized again...especially since the holiday season is practically here!
Call it a habit or I just love sharing my pictures...I really feel the  need to post a picture.  Here is a picture of Audrey and I when she was little.  I felt inspired to post this one since I went shopping today for Longhorn gear for both of my girls.  I cant wait to see the pictures I can get of the girls all decked out in Texas, Texas YeeHaw!!!

Have a great weekend and pray that I can get back on my A Game by Monday!

Costume Dry Run

OK...so I know my chores are not done and it is already the end of the day and I should be frantically trying to get my work done but...the girls saw their costumes and I thought, why not!  So, I put them on the girls since we are going to wear them to the gym tomorrow and since Halloween is this weekend.  I thought, I guess I should let them get used to wearing them.  So, below are a few quick shots I got of the girls in their costumes.
Lauren is going to be a Ladybug for Halloween.  Yes, that is a toothbrush she has in her hand.  She has been walking around with a toothbrush these last few days.  I guess she really wants to be like her big sister.

OK...I could not pick out which picture was the cutest!  She is just so beautiful as a Princess Butterfly Doggie.  I really dont know which part is the doggie part but at least she pulls off the Princess Butterfly.
OK...this is just hilarious!  Kris got this shot of Audrey trying out my scuba mask.  Great shot and I am sure she will love this shot when she starts dating! hehehe
Have a great day and thank God tomorrow is Friday!!!!

On a Boat

OK...I did not fall off the end of the Earth, but I did take a girl trip with my Mama, Jenn (my sister), and my Aunt Judy.  We planned this trip since February and we were so excited to get out and have some girl only time.  It was such a wonderful trip.  I am so very thankful for my wonderful husband who took time from work to watch the girls and also very thankful for my amazing mother in law, Bonnie who came over to watch the girls when Kris had to go to work.  Seriously, I am so richly Blessed to have such wonderful support from my family.  Do you see why I love my family so!  Okay, enough with the writing...I am sure you want to see some pictures...
My Aunt Judy and my Mama.  These two cracked me up this whole trip and showed me how sisters can be best friends.
Here they are playing catch in the parking lot.  The whole objective between the two of them was to see who can make the other laugh more...
My sister (Jenn), Mama and me.  Yes, I am the whitest of my family...no matter how much I tan...always super white compared to these ladies!
My only creative shot of the moon that looked somewhat interesting.  It was challenging to get a good shot because the lights on the boat were so bright.
Cape Cod...this is my favorite drink.
My Aunt Judy taking a turn on the slot machine.
Our one day excursion at Cozumel, Mexico.  This was the area all of the boat photographers were stopping people to get a shot.  I can see why...the composition is really nice.  Thank you boat photographers!
Jenn really wanted to go to the Mayan ruins and I took loads of pictures but sites are not interesting unless someone is in them.  Don't you agree?
This her being goofy while the tour guide is talking about some mombo jumbo...  Jenn kept me laughing through out this whole trip.
This is one of the props they had at the port where we were to get back on at the ship.  I am trying my best to be intimidating with such big guns!
My gorgeous sister.  Seriously, she is beautiful in every shot I got of her!
My goofy pose...As you can see, Jenn brings out the goofy in everyone!
OK...now I need to get back to getting back to the natural routine of things.  Of course, I have  not stopped hugging and kissing my sweet girls.  I missed them so very much and I am glad to be home!

Singing from the roof top

There are somethings that you know will happen.  You just try to keep calm when it does happen even though your heart is in your throat!  Well, today was just that...I had the windows open while Audrey was outside playing and I hear her singing her version of Jesus Loves Me.  In my heart, I am so thankful for her sweet song, so I go to the window to see her outside singing and I just about passed out when I see her singing from her play house roof top.
This is a shot coming out of the back door to ask her what she was doing.  It is not a great shot but I believe it gives a perspective of how high she is.
Here she is explaining to me that she was just singing to Jesus.
I asked her if she was being safe and she then lays down on top of her house and says yes. She is being safe.  Have I mentioned before that she has the balance of cat?
Here she is telling me all about her friend Sam and how she is looking forward to seeing him again.  I know I am looking forward to getting more pictures of them playing together.  They are just so cute playing together.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

As a photographer wannabe, there are certain moments when you want...no need to get right.  And that was yesterday at the pumpkin patch.  Last year, I got so many good shots and this was before I took classes, upgraded my camera and got a new lens.  Yesterday, was cloudy which is best kind of weather for pictures.  I had everyone coordinated to the bright colors of the pumpkins as well as a family.  I know lame...but I really wanted to have as many things going for me as possible.  Well, the one thing I did not have planned is a 3 year old who DID NOT want her picture taken.  UGH...so below is the best that I could do with the uncontrollable 3 year old.  Can you relate?
This was the first shot of the day...I should have known this was not going to be good.
Again, Audrey is not looking at me but this is a good shot of her on the tractor.
Kris getting a sweet kiss from Audrey.
Lauren was just too cute in this jacket.  I am loving the Crazy 8 store.
Lauren getting to drive the tractor.  Can you tell she is excited?  Too bad Audrey's head is in the way or this shot would have been perfect!
Audrey driving a tiny tractors.  They did not work to well, but it did offer a cute shot.
Kris got this shot.  With her new haircut she looks so much older than she is.
Kris got this shot as well.  Lauren is so beautiful!
Mama with her pouty Audrey.
We left the pumpkin patch for some ice cream and I was hoping to get some cute shots and I love this one of Lauren waving hello to some people having ice cream near by.
Once we got home we carved up the pumpkin with a happy face because we only like happy pumpkins in this house hold!
He is a cutie...
We all hope you get out and enjoy some family time as well.  Happy Monday everyone!

Austin Trip

I know it has been a couple of days since I posted but it was for good reason...family!  I have been trying to go down to Austin once a month.  This way the girls get to hang out with family that we do not get to see as often as we would like see them...there is just not enough time in the day for everything!  And, as you know, there is no substitute for time when building relationships.  So, we load up the truck and head down to Austin for a couple of days just to hang out as a family.  So, I did take loads of pictures and below are some of my favorites.  I hope you enjoy!
As soon as we got to Austin, we stopped at Auntie Kara's house for dinner and to play for a little while.  And play the kiddos did!
This is Audrey, Lauren and Jax all taking off for a little walk after everyone was done with dinner.  It was so cute to see them all chasing one another.
Love this shot of Lauren!
I love this shot of Jax!  He is such a handsome boy!
This is the posse and they are taking off with more riding toys.  Kids...love the sense of adventure!

Then, we headed over to my Godparent's house for the night.  I love Steve and Dawn and I can tell that Audrey and Lauren do too.  It was such a wonderful weekend!
This is Papa O and Audrey.  He is showing her how to make light.
Can you tell that she just loves to learn from her Papa O?
And there it is...light!
I just love the lighting in this shot!
Then it was time to take a break.
Look at this...Papa and Audrey built a fort!
Then it was time to have a Tea Party in the fort.  It was magical!

Lastly, we met up with my sister, Jennifer and her beautiful family.  I was so excited that they let me take several pictures of them.  Here are two of my favorites.  It is awesome to spend time with Jennifer and I am so amazed how quickly her kiddos are growing up and how beautiful they are becoming on the inside and out.
This is Trinity and Jennifer.  Just Beautiful...
My favorite shot!  Trinity is so beautiful...
Lauren is pretty cute too!
Auntie Jenn showing Lauren all of her pretty flowers.
