Halloween 2011

I know it has been a couple of days since Halloween but this Mama has been so sick and then dealing with a sick family has made posting pics...well challenging!  So, let me start by saying that this year I just knew I would do a better job of pictures because I have switched to manual focus, and I have had a year of taking pictures and knowing more about my camera.  But instead I feel I got the normal shots that can be achieved by a point and shoot.  Oh Karen Russell when will I have your skill?  Check out her blog to see what I mean...http://www.karenrussell.typepad.com/.  But, thankfully I have very cute girls and I love them more than I can express so I love the shots all the same.  It was so much fun to see Audrey really understand Halloween and really this was the first time Lauren went door to door for candy.  Enjoy!
My Lauren and Audrey were both princesses.  I so love my girly, girly girls!

This is part of the posse that went Trick or Treating together.  Meridith is having them look at the camera and they never looked at me after that...ugh!

This is Romney showing me his warrior pose.

Meridith showing off her cool costume.  I did not dress up...I am not that cool!

Phoenix and Paige as Zoro and a Cat.

The kiddos running up to get candy and...
And the parents watching the show...so cute!

Audrey and Sam.  They were inseparable the whole night!

I was hoping to get Audrey's face a little but I did get a good shot of her raisinets!

I love this shot!

She obviously knew where she was going...

This place was well lit up I just knew I would be able to get good pictures...but not so much!

This cat was so cool and kinda spooky but Audrey went right up to it and to check it out.  It is kinda dark but I think it is pretty cool.  Happy Late Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch 2011

It was so beautiful Friday and I finally got the girls out to take some pictures.  We decided to go to a new place this year and it was a smart move.  We went to the pumpkin patch in Flower Mound and it was awesome.  They had all of these cut out of different cartoon characters.  Audrey and Lauren were so excited to see Strawberry Shortcake, Hello Kitty and Care Bears.  Thank you Netflix for keeping past cartoons alive in my little girls.  Enjoy!
I do not watch Strawberry Shortcake cartoons with her but these girls are apart of the show.

Care Bear Love

Hello Kitty...yes I am still struggling with Audrey not looking at the camera.  Hence, the weird pose...she is killing this Mama!

But then...I get a great pic like this...AWESOME!

Lauren checking out Strawberry Shortcake.

I know this is not a great photo but here she is screaming "All Aboard" to everyone around to get on this train because it is about to leave the station.  It was cracking me up!

Lauren checking out different pumpkins.  As you can see, she did not know what to think about those with bumps on them.

Audrey at the top of the slide.

Lauren following behind.

The deal on the pumpkins is, if you can carry it then we can buy it.  Who knew she was so strong?

Lauren helped by pulling our bounty to the cash register.

This is Lauren's pumpkin that she picked.

Now it is time for costumes and Trick n Treating!  Oh...I can't wait!  Happy Halloween Everyone!

State Fair 2011

Ok...so I know we have gone for the last three years but I have to say it...I LOVE the fair.  I love taking the girls to the state fair.  It is so much fun to see them get their faces painted, eating carny food and the best is seeing them ride the rides.  It is just so much fun!  Of course the photographer in me loves even more to get to take so many pictures in one day.  So...there are a quiet a few so enjoy!
I love the simplicity of Audrey's relax nature.  She is such a sweet girl.

Lauren showing me some weird robots that were singing and dancing for some bubble house.  I have to admit it was creepy looking.

A real pumpkin carving.

Audrey working on the farm and feeding the fake chickens so she can take an egg.  It was an interesting exhibit of what it takes to work on the farm.

Audrey driving on a tractor.

My family trying to look like farm animals.  If  you look closely you can see Lauren trying to figure out why Daddy and Audrey were putting their heads through the holes.

Face painting...yes Lauren likes it!

Audrey likes hers as well.

I love this shot!

Simply amazing how beautiful her eyes are!

Now it was time to do ride some rides!

I was surprised I got a shot in this ride.

This ride both Audrey and Lauren are riding but you can't see Lauren because she is blocked by Audrey.  This ride really looked like fun!

By the time we left you could tell Lauren was done and I have to admit I was done as well.  By the time we got home we all took a nap and now I believe that Lauren and I have some stomach bug...well at least we had fun while it lasted!  I hope you all get a chance to get out to the State Fair but I will say if you can go on a Monday...it is the best day to go because there were no crowds.  Have an amazing day!

Costume Play Time

So our sweet neighbor Samantha comes over to show us her new costume and it gave the perfect reason for the girls to play dress up and play in the front yard.  It was so adorable that I had to get a fe w shots of this evening's play time with the neighbors!

I love the excitement in Lauren's face.  She just loves being outside with friends!

This is the dress up gang.  I personally love how Lauren is showing off her foot!

This is Zen walking Lauren back to the yard.  She really loves Zen...

Audrey's rapid poses photo shoot...oh...Kris and I are in so much trouble.

Zen's spooky costume.

Baby Avery...she is too sweet for words.

Every good time must come to an end...

This impromtu dress up play time in the front yard has me so excited about Halloween.  Now if we can agree on what that will be for our girls.  I personally believe it will be a hodgepodge of girly things.  Personally...my favorite.
