Lauren's Birthday

I cannot believe my little baby is now 2.  Well, only in those brief moments between tantrums!  UGH...now those tantrums will help you remember that she is 2!  Anyway, today I want to share some pictures of my little Lauren turning 2.  I did not want a big party or anything...just family and making sure she heard the Happy Birthday song enough to know that it was a special day to celebrate Lauren!  So after loads of pictures taken, below are my favorites...enjoy!
Well, with the weather being so HOT, we went to the mall to play on the play scape for a little while.  I love this shot because she really does not look like a baby anymore!

So cute...

I love this shot of Bonnie with the girls!  Needless to say, we went to Chick fil a for lunch and hang out with Grandma Bonnie for a bit.

Here Lauren is telling me she is 2 years old.

Now...she is singing Happy Birthday!  I love how she was so very happy all day long!

Then Audrey and Lauren decorated a cake for Lauren's birthday!  Please know...I am NOT a baker.  So, chocolate icing with sprinkles = master piece in my house!

My kitchen is so small that I had to stand on my counter to get this shot.  But my 50mm was not getting a shot with both Audrey and Lauren working together to decorate the cake.

Then...we went to chucky cheese for dinner!  Lauren was having so much fun she did not want to eat any dinner.  This shot highlights how much fun she was having!

Audrey very excited that she won some tickets.  She was very happy that it was Lauren's birthday because she LOVES chucky cheese as well!

Lauren...spent a lot of time talking on this phone...I wonder who she was talking to?

This shot cracks me up because I feel like laughing along with my girls!

Lauren did not like the candle being on fire on a perfectly good cake.  She asked Audrey to blow it out because she did not want be close to the candle.  So cautious!

Audrey picked out this barbie gift because it looked like Audrey and Lauren together.  So sweet!

GranDawn got Lauren a baby and that is always a hit in Lauren's book.  There were other gift received but these were the only ones I got that were decent pictures.

So...my little girl is two.  She learning new words everyday, learning to be independent of her Mama but thank God she still loves to get lovin' from her Mama.  I hope she never grows out of wanting some lovin'!

Loisel Family Practice Photo Shoot

WoooHooo!  Yes, that is the sound my heart makes when I get the opportunity to practice!  I am so grateful for the Loisel Family for letting me take their pictures.  This time I expanded out my horizons and tried out the TCU campus for this photo shoot.  It was so VERY hot and yet this family looks cool and beautiful!  As in each photo shoot...I learned a few things!  But, I really feel I am getting better!  Take a look and let me know what you think...

I really like this shot.

This is really great as well.

Noah's expression cracks me up in the shot on the left then I love how Keira followed her brother in the next shot!

This family shot is my favorite.  But as you can tell, it was not an easy pick!

Daddy's and their Daughters...too precious!

I love how parents can get a genuine laugh out of their kiddos!

I LOVE this sweet picture!

How cute of a couple are they!

He is so very handsome and ACTIVE!  I love the running shot!  I do not have boys and always appreciate their energy!

So sweet...

I really like this shot!  Again, I was working on making shots a bit more dynamic in post processing and with the repeating patter and leading lines.

Love the sweetness of this hug.  Big brother hugs are so wonderful!

I did not get many good shots of the kiddos together...it is too bad because they are so cute together!

I love this shot!  It would have been better if Noah was looking at the camera but then again...I like the simple nature of Sally holding her son!

So...tell me what you think.  I am again so thankful for the opportunity to practice!  I cant wait for my next practice photo shoot because I should have photoshop by then!  OH my goodness....I am so very excited!

Daddy Daughter Dance

At our church, they are very intentional in creating experiences that encourage families to do things together.  I love that!  A yearly event that they do is a Daddy Daughter Dance.  And it is so magical for me and my family.   Kris loves this event as well because it gives him a special time that he gets to share with the girls.   I would have LOVED to go to an event like this as a little girl and my girls LOVED going this year.  We really wanted to each of the girls to have a special date for the dance so my God-father, Steve, came up for Round Rock to experience this event.  I took loads of pictures but these were my favorites!  Enjoy!

Steve or better known as PapaO with Lauren and Audrey.  I tried a group picture but the girls were not too cooperative.  But I LOVE these shots above!  I did such a better job of taken pictures this year than I did last year!

Kris with Audrey and Lauren.  I have such a beautiful family!  Thank you Lord for a wonderful family!  I feel so VERY BLESSED!

Can you tell Audrey was in the mood to have her picture taken?

This was the best group shot I got!
They all had a wonderful time.  The girls got home and danced and sing around some more for Dawn and I.  Just so you know, I took Dawn out to eat so she could get loved on as well.  There was a lot of lovin' happening and I did not want to leave Dawn out!
Then Steve and Dawn came over for breakfast the next day and hang out for a while!  The girls loved it...and so did I!  Here Steve is reading Lauren a story.  I love the head band that he made for Lauren!

Dawn read a story for the girls.  Audrey face looks like it is a scary story, but I assure you, Fancy Nancy is not a scary book.

Love this shot of Lauren...she is so cute!

I also love that Audrey was loving on Kris all morning!

She also loved on GranDawn as well.  It was a wonderful Father's Day weekend!
Thank you Steve and Dawn for coming up and being apart of the Daddy Daughter Dance.  We love you and miss you already!

Have an amazing day!

New Bike

I know I have not been posting much on my blog, but in my defense...June has been a crazy busy month!  And by the look of my calendar, it will continue to be BUSY!  But this post is not to complain about being busy or justify why I have not been taking many pictures...which I have not, but to give a huge shot out to my babe for getting me a new bike.  I am so excited!  I love it and I love going on rides with Audrey.  We will have a bike trailer soon so the whole family can go on bike rides together!  Oh...I just cant wait!  So, below are a few shots a babe took of me taking my new bike for a spin with Audrey!

Here Audrey and I are taking the bikes for a spin.  I wish I looked thinner but I have been wishing that since I was a teenager.  One day I will get over it!

Love my bike and I am so very thankful for my babe!

I love you Babe!  Everyone else... I hope you have an amazing day!

Daniels Family Practice Photo Shoot

OK...so I am so very thankful for the opportunity to practice.  I believe it is the path to becoming a better photographer and after each shoot I write out what went right and what went wrong.  Well, on this last shoot...I definitely learned a lot!  Thank God I got a couple of good shots but seriously...it is only a couple.  Check it out and let me know what you think...

Love the Abe and his son in this shot.

There is a lot of love in this family!

I was working with different tones and I really like the tone of this shot!

This is one happy couple!!!  They are adorable!

Here Tricia is telling Daisy a secret...I love the sweetness of this shot!

Mamas always can make babies smile!

Hide and seek around a tree...love this game!

I wish Zeke would have his more open in this shot but I also like the cool nature of his smile!

Well that is it...are you asking yourself...where are the shots of Abe with the kiddos?  Yes, that is when Zeke fell into the duck pond and hurt his head.  I am so thankful he only had a small crape on his head but it was REALLY scary for me and for Tricia and Abe.  So, we ended the photo shoot and plan to re-shoot sometime in July.  I am so thankful that gave the opportunity to practice.  So...next photo shoot...not at the duck pond!!!!

Have an amazing day!
