Pumpkin Patch 2011

It was so beautiful Friday and I finally got the girls out to take some pictures.  We decided to go to a new place this year and it was a smart move.  We went to the pumpkin patch in Flower Mound and it was awesome.  They had all of these cut out of different cartoon characters.  Audrey and Lauren were so excited to see Strawberry Shortcake, Hello Kitty and Care Bears.  Thank you Netflix for keeping past cartoons alive in my little girls.  Enjoy!
I do not watch Strawberry Shortcake cartoons with her but these girls are apart of the show.

Care Bear Love

Hello Kitty...yes I am still struggling with Audrey not looking at the camera.  Hence, the weird pose...she is killing this Mama!

But then...I get a great pic like this...AWESOME!

Lauren checking out Strawberry Shortcake.

I know this is not a great photo but here she is screaming "All Aboard" to everyone around to get on this train because it is about to leave the station.  It was cracking me up!

Lauren checking out different pumpkins.  As you can see, she did not know what to think about those with bumps on them.

Audrey at the top of the slide.

Lauren following behind.

The deal on the pumpkins is, if you can carry it then we can buy it.  Who knew she was so strong?

Lauren helped by pulling our bounty to the cash register.

This is Lauren's pumpkin that she picked.

Now it is time for costumes and Trick n Treating!  Oh...I can't wait!  Happy Halloween Everyone!

State Fair 2011

Ok...so I know we have gone for the last three years but I have to say it...I LOVE the fair.  I love taking the girls to the state fair.  It is so much fun to see them get their faces painted, eating carny food and the best is seeing them ride the rides.  It is just so much fun!  Of course the photographer in me loves even more to get to take so many pictures in one day.  So...there are a quiet a few so enjoy!
I love the simplicity of Audrey's relax nature.  She is such a sweet girl.

Lauren showing me some weird robots that were singing and dancing for some bubble house.  I have to admit it was creepy looking.

A real pumpkin carving.

Audrey working on the farm and feeding the fake chickens so she can take an egg.  It was an interesting exhibit of what it takes to work on the farm.

Audrey driving on a tractor.

My family trying to look like farm animals.  If  you look closely you can see Lauren trying to figure out why Daddy and Audrey were putting their heads through the holes.

Face painting...yes Lauren likes it!

Audrey likes hers as well.

I love this shot!

Simply amazing how beautiful her eyes are!

Now it was time to do ride some rides!

I was surprised I got a shot in this ride.

This ride both Audrey and Lauren are riding but you can't see Lauren because she is blocked by Audrey.  This ride really looked like fun!

By the time we left you could tell Lauren was done and I have to admit I was done as well.  By the time we got home we all took a nap and now I believe that Lauren and I have some stomach bug...well at least we had fun while it lasted!  I hope you all get a chance to get out to the State Fair but I will say if you can go on a Monday...it is the best day to go because there were no crowds.  Have an amazing day!

Costume Play Time

So our sweet neighbor Samantha comes over to show us her new costume and it gave the perfect reason for the girls to play dress up and play in the front yard.  It was so adorable that I had to get a fe w shots of this evening's play time with the neighbors!

I love the excitement in Lauren's face.  She just loves being outside with friends!

This is the dress up gang.  I personally love how Lauren is showing off her foot!

This is Zen walking Lauren back to the yard.  She really loves Zen...

Audrey's rapid poses photo shoot...oh...Kris and I are in so much trouble.

Zen's spooky costume.

Baby Avery...she is too sweet for words.

Every good time must come to an end...

This impromtu dress up play time in the front yard has me so excited about Halloween.  Now if we can agree on what that will be for our girls.  I personally believe it will be a hodgepodge of girly things.  Personally...my favorite.

My Neighbors

I must say that being in a wonderful neighborhood makes all of the difference in the world.  I am so fortunate to have wonderful neighbors and I am even more grateful that my neighbors have kiddos about the same age as my girls.  Well today I was wanting to get out there and start taking pictures daily regardless of my mood or what subject matter was available.  I was floored that Audrey wanted me to take her picture but I was so thrilled that the neighbor friends wanted in on the photos.  It was such a treat to have so many people wanting to jump in front of the camera for some real cheese'n!

This is how it all started.  Audrey setting up the shot with all of the halloween/fall stuff.  Of course, getting her to look at the camera is still such a challenge.  I have to be quick on the trigger for this one.

This is her friend Samantha.  She is such a sweet heart.  I think it is darling that she is starting to wear dresses like Audrey.

Wow...both are so beautiful!

It is such a joy to have such sweet, wonderful girls for Audrey to play with.

Samantha's Mama is such a hoot.  I love her energy and optimism is infectious.

Love this shot!

This is not a great shot but I love how all the kiddos love babies and Baby Avery is too cute for words!
I hope you all get out and meet your neighbors.  God put them next to you for a reason.  I hope they will be a Blessing like this group has been for my girls and me!

Coloring in the morning

Hello...I know it has been a while since I posted anything.  I have been going through some stuff and it has had a ripple effect in my photography.  I am working through it and hoping I will get into the swing of things where I am taking pictures daily again.  So, to get things started below are some pictures of my sweet girls doing their coloring thing.
I just love how grown up Audrey is looking.  She is the sweetest person I know.  Today I was laughing at her singing a silly song and it remind me how my Mama would and still do laugh at my silliness. I really do hope that she will be close to me like I am to my Mama.

So pretty!

Lauren...she is such a hoot!  She is her happiest when she is playing along side her best friend...Audrey!  I do not know what this girl is going to do when Audrey goes to school next year.

I just love the tenderness of this shot.  They are so happy together!

Had to take a picture of the pretty marker for Audrey!

So much focus...

I love to see little hands working.

This shot cracks me up because she was showing her coloring but then she remembered the cool cover of the coloring book and became mesmerized.  So funny!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my pictures.  Thank you Babe for encouraging me to get my pictures out there some more.  I love you so much and you were right.  Seeing these simple shots of my girls being who they are makes my heart smile and that is the reason I love photography.  It is capturing the world around us and all of its simple treasures!
